My husband is the right to my left, the no to my yes, the light to my dark. He is the first best thing to happen to me. He is the father to my children and Papa to our grandchildren. He is quiet and strong. Stubborn and giving. We like to do the same kind of things, go for long rides in the country and take pictures. Crafts of all kinds. Playing with the grand kids. Travel.
I am the wild side and he is the steady rock. Although, he is getting a little wilder the older he gets!!!
We compliment each other.
Twice Blessed
Our two children married within 10 days of each other; four years later we have three grandkids and life is rocking on!!

Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.
Day two:
The fear of creepy crawlies...I just hate them
The fear of loosing someone I love...I have seen many friends lose loved ones and the pain they have suffered. Then I lost my Nannie and knew...
The fear of being alone in the world.

After the last post, I got to thinking about Morgan on this trip we took. She and I rode in the back of the van. We watched movies, read books, colored and talked. She did a lot of singing. She makes up songs as she goes. It is so fun to listen to and hear her imagination going. She can sing for an hour without stopping. The words from a hundred songs end up in her 'song'. You will hear no more monkeys jumping on the bed right before she sings the chorus to jingle bells. Then she throws a bunch of three year old words in and you have no clue.
While listening to her sing, I had a thought of how much of this trip she will remember. Not much I am willing to guess. If she does remember any of it, I hope she remembers that her Grammie rode in the back with her and we had fun!! That she braided my 3 inch long hair (not) and wiped pretend marker off my face with her spit!! Just like her momma does her. That she took her socks off so she could put this finger puppet on her toes, than wanted to put the puppet on my toes too! Shoot, Grammie could not get her feet up that far! Ha ha!! I hope she remembers that every time she said "Grammie" I stopped what I was doing to listen to her. I guess, overall, I just hope she always knows how much I love her!!!
Maybe with the few pictures we took and if I keep telling her the story of the trip, she can remember some of it!!

Home again
What a great trip we had.
Both girls did great in the car! We had a good visit with my husband's mom. Of course the drive is always beautiful. We did not have any snow or ice. We were very thankful for that. It was cold though. I think it was 35 both days.
Morgan had a ball running around outside in the cold. Lillian preferred the warm weather inside!!
Both great grandmas had a good time chatting and catching up. They are both widowed now and don't get out much. They were able to compare notes and commiserate with each other.
Of course, while we had a great time, it is always good to be home. Ahh, sleeping in my own bed. Always wonderful.
Mom and I are going to start a new project. She had decided she wants to get all her pictures in an album. Since I love scrap booking I am all about that. Her job, round up all the pictures. My job, help her put the book together. I love old pictures and the stories that go with them. My grandmother had some photos from her childhood. We cleaned them up and figured out who everyone was. It was fun. I posted them on Ancestry.com.
